Privacy Policy

The following explains FWD’s Privacy Policy.

It describes the information collected by Swipefwd Inc. (dba “FWD”) hereinafter (“FWD”, “we,” “us,” or “our”), how that information may be used, with whom it may be shared, and your decisions about such uses and disclosures. By using our website, located at https://www.lookfwd.co (“Website”), our mobile app, or otherwise accessing the pages of FWD (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to the practices set forth in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, you must not access or use the Services.

Information FWD Collects and How It Is Collected

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Services, FWD automatically collects and stores certain information about your computer or mobile device and you and your activities.

This information includes:

  1. Mobile Device ID. Your mobile device’s unique ID number (e.g., Number, IMEI, AD ID).

  2. Geographic Location. Your mobile device’s geographic location when you register for FWD through our mobile app.

  3. Device Information/Specifications. Technical information about your computer or mobile device (e.g., type of device, web browser or operating system, IP address) to analyze trends, administer the Services, prevent fraud, track visitor movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information.

  4. Length and Extent of Usage. How long and in what manner you used the Services and which services and features you used.

  5. Cookies. We use “cookies” to keep track of some types of information while you are using the Services. “Cookies” are very small files placed on your computer and phone, and they allow us to count the number of people who use the Services and distinguish repeat visitors from new visitors. Cookies also allow us, and third parties we work with, to save user of the Services (“User”) preferences, track User trends, and advertise to you. FWD uses both session and persistent cookies; session cookies expire at the end of a particular visit, while persistent cookies (also called stored cookies) remain active until you disable them through your settings, or until a pre-set expiration date. We rely on cookies for the proper operation of the Services; therefore, if your browser is set to reject all cookies, the Services may not function properly. Users who refuse cookies assume all responsibility for any resulting loss of functionality with respect to the Services.

  6. Web Beacons. “Web beacons” (also known as “clear gifs” and “pixel tags”) are small transparent graphic images that are often used in conjunction with cookies in order to further personalize the Services for our users, collect a limited set of information about our users, and advertise to our users.

Information You Choose to Provide to FWD

1. Information We Obtain From Your Social Media Accounts and Mobile Phone Contacts

In order to register, log into, or use the Services, you are invited to use your Facebook, LinkedIn, or Google accounts (hereinafter “Social Media Accounts”). Individual Rights in the European Economic Area

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you may ask whether FWD is processing personal information about you, request access to your personal information, and ask that we correct, amend, delete, or restrict processing your personal information. To protect your privacy, FWD will take commercially reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access, or making any changes, to your personal information.

Although we make good faith efforts to provide our users with access to their personal information, there may be circumstances in which FWD is unable to do so, including but not limited to: where the information is legally privileged, would compromise others’ privacy, or other legitimate rights, where the request is unfounded or excessive, or where the information sought is commercially proprietary.

The fact that we link to a website or service is not an endorsement, authorization, or representation of our affiliation or association with that third party, nor is it an endorsement of their privacy or information security policies or practices. We do not exercise control over third-party websites or services. These third parties may place their own cookies or other files on your computer, collect data or solicit personal information from you. Third-party websites and services follow different rules regarding the use or disclosure of the personal information you submit to them. We encourage you to read the privacy policies or statements of the their-party websites and services you visit.
